Mike grew up in small-town Southwestern Ontario where he spent the majority of his youth wandering the nearby woods, reading and watching all things horror, and dreaming of one day writing novels of his own. After a bit of travelling and soul-searching in his earlier days, Mike lived in Toronto for the first leg of adulthood before relocating to Hamilton, Ontario, a quieter city with a harsh reputation and a beautiful escarpment running through the middle of it. Mike loves all things nature (except for ticks), tall staircases, abandoned buildings, and taking day trips to wineries. He is very curious about people and the human experience, and believes in the genre of horror as the ideal medium for exploring the light and dark that exists inside each of us.
