Mike Gatto served four terms in the California Legislature representing Los Angeles. He chaired the Appropriations Committee, served as Assistant Speaker, and authored several pieces of landmark legislation. In 2013, his father was brutally murdered in a home-invasion robbery, which remains unsolved. "Noir By Necessity" is a True Crime story that reads like a thriller, a book that gives readers a glimpse into how the dark underbelly of Los Angeles collided with the political world. It's a modern murder mystery and a candid look into the world of politics. And, most importantly: It provides a glimpse into what victims' families go through when they are searching for answers. In addition to his political activities, Mike Gatto is a political commentator in the national news media, where he regularly earns praise for his candor and fairness. He's a member of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, and a Captain in the California Guard.
