Mimi Yu is the author of the YA fantasy novel THE GIRL KING (2019) and the forthcoming sequel EMPRESS OF FLAMES (2021). In addition to books, Mimi enjoys the fiber arts, gardening, and learning about animals. Her hometown is the site of both the historic Women’s Rights Convention (1848) and the largest active landfill in New York State (ongoing). She now resides in Chicagoland with her husband, two children, and (so far) five cats.
