Niko Tackian was a journalist and editor in chief of various press magazines before becoming a comic book author. He signed more than thirty albums for the publisher Soleil-Delcourt, covering genres such as: esoteric thriller, science fiction, dark fantasy, anticipation, thriller, fantasy. He also became a scriptwriter for television and signed several dozen TV movies before creating the Alex Hugo series with Franck Thilliez, for which he continues to provide some of the screenplays. In 2015, his first novel Quelque part avant l'enfer was published by Scrinéo, followed by La nuit n'est jamais complète, both of which won awards at the Cognac festival. In 2016, he signed with Calmann-Levy and published the trilogy Toxique, Fantazmë, Celle qui pleurait sous l'eau, a series of thrillers introducing the character of Tomar Khan, commander in the Parisian crime squad. In 2019 his thriller Avalanche Hotel gets many awards, including the famous "price of the league of imagination", which he joined the same year joining successful authors such as Bernard Minier, Bernard Werber, Olivier Norek, Maxime Chattam and his comrade Franck Thilliez. In 2020 and 2021 his novels Solitudes and Respire confirm the success of his previous thrillers. Two of his novels are currently being adapted for the cinema.
