A scholar of biographical writing and a writer of creative nonfiction, in her work, Oline Eaton examines the intersections of celebrity, feelings, feminism, language, and trauma. She holds degrees from Mississippi State University, the University of Chicago, and King's College London. She teaches first year writing as a non-tenure-track, full-time lecturer at Howard University and is an adjunct professor at the American University of Afghanistan. She lives in upstate New York, with her dog, Felix, and cats, Claude, Marcel, Toulouse, and Harry Houdini.
