Pamela L. Reynolds was inspired to write Perfect Rose — Cracked Vase in hopes others would see that living with birth defects or any type of illness will not hinder opportunities to reach their goals. Pamela was born in Phoenix, Arizona with Congenital Rubella Syndrome. The doctors told her parents that she was blind, deaf and would not live. Congenital Rubella Syndrome gave her birth defect and she lives with microphthalmia (an eye malformation), blind in one eye due to imbedded cataract, glaucoma, heart murmur, hearing loss, duck feet (she had to wear legs braces and corrective shoes). Pamela has been married to her husband for 36 years and they have been blessed with five remarkable children and six grandchildren. Her hobbies include writing, reading, quilting, yoga, gardening, singing, and cooking for her family. She claims that her greatest treasures in life are her parents, husband, children, grandchildren, and brothers. She also adores her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
