Patrick Galbraith was born in Edinburgh in 1993. He grew up in Scotland and studied English literature at Bristol and University College London before dropping out to become a writer and journalist. He has covered everything from naturism to curlew conservation to racism in rural Britain. He’s fascinated by the way that people both abuse and are inspired by the natural world. His work has appeared in The Times, The Telegraph, The Spectator, and Country Life. He is commissioning editor of The Open Art Fair Magazine and is a columnist for The Critic. He lives in South London with his terrier and is currently working on a play about lapwings, a bird that he has long felt deserves more time on the stage.
