A self claimed "learning junkie", Patrick Lloyd has earned a CCIE, CISSP, 17 other technology certifications. He has presented for Cisco Live, Bright Talks, and multiple security summits. His career at Cisco Systems has included stints as a TAC engineer, Routing and Switching Architect, and Security Architect focusing in Zero Trust. His first Zero Trust projects came about in 2015, well before the phrase was commonly used within the security industry. Those projects, micro segmentation of a large hospital system and design of an IOT-based smart building are reflected with their lessons learned within the book "Zero Trust Architecture", published by Pearson Publishing. When Patrick is not consumed by technology, he is studying for his pilot's license, traveling with his girlfriend, Courtney, at a Carolina Hurricanes game, or spending a rare relaxing moment curled up on the couch with Luna the Corgi and Joey Jack Russel.
