Patrick served as Dignity and Spiritual Care Director at Parkview Health, a health system with over 16,000 coworkers and ten hospitals. His team responded to over 15,000 patient deaths in Patrick's time there. Patrick also served as the chairperson of the ethics committee. He is the author of three books non-fiction books: How to Talk with Sick, Dying, and Grieving People How to Find Meaning in Your Life Before it Ends No Matter How Small: Understanding Miscarriage and Stillbirth (co-author with Kristen) Find his fiction books under the pen-name P.S. Adair. Although Patrick focuses on life’s most difficult topic, he’s not depressed! In fact, he enjoys life with Kristen and their four young adult children. If he’s not speaking, he can usually be found coaching his daughter’s flag football team, cheering for two of their sons at the rugby pitch, or racing another son in MarioKart.
