Spending a full year delving into a decade of daily journals kept by my late father, who witnessed first-hand and reported on the rise of Nazism in 1930's Germany, I relived the dangers he faced and the courage he demonstrated. These years were a prelude to his work in Allied espionage during the war. I spent two further years crafting Corridor of Darkness, the first of the Ryan Lemmon historical thrillers which capture the essence of his fascinating experiences while immersed in the turmoil of that period. Two further volumes, Beacon of Vengeance and Fulcrum of Malice, completed the trilogy, and Echoes of Silence continues the story. Now the second sequel, Crucible of Deceit, carries Lemmon's espionage adventures into 1942 as the United States prepares to actively and openly engage in fighting the Axis powers.
