I'm originally from South Florida and I currently reside in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I played sports as a teenager (baseball and basketball), but writing was something I always found myself going to as an outlet, a way to express myself, and after many years of practice, I felt like I became good enough, or rather brave enough, to share my work with others. After receiving helpful criticism from various writing groups I was in, as well as from family and friends. I decided to focus on a full-length novel. Writing 100k words was intimidating so I started with stories about my life as a young adult which were nice, bite-sized chunks. I found myself with enough short stories to publish a nonfiction novella (11 Felonies). Publishing 11 Felonies gave me the confidence I needed to know I could write a full-length novel. I am currently working on a romance fiction book that I hope to have finished by the end of this year (2021).
