Whoever thought a sleepy Cotswold village could be such a dangerous place to live? My new series of cosy murder mysteries, set in the imaginary but very apt Much Slaughter, has amateur sleuth Catherine de Barnes reluctantly drawn in to use all her skills and determination when a celebrity chef is murdered at the village fair and suspicion falls on one of her friends. With the help of local vicar Scott Willoughby and their dogs Barking & Dagenham (did I mention ALL the characters are named after real UK places?) she will have to choose between solving the murder and saving her friend or taking an unexpected trip that will establish her handmade chocolate business or giving herself a chance with local dishy doctor Linton Heath. Personally, I'm loving wrestling with these fascinating characters and their life stories - so much so that there are a load more murder plots waiting in the wings.
