Hailing from the Pacific NW, Phil Klahn caught the music bug in his early teens, which evolved into a passion for songwriting, performing and producing. Under the name Phankl, his fifth solo project was based on the imagined Greatest Hits of a fictional 70-80's folk rock band, Known Entity. At the suggestion of a friend, he started writing a back story for the band and the rest, as they say, is history. His first book, Known Entity - An Unauthorized History, is a joyful little jaunt that tells the history of four bandmates and their lives, loves, laughs and trials. Links in the story let the reader listen to the band's music as the story unfolds. Phil, having now caught the writing bug, is working on a new fictional series, a fantasy world-building coming-of-age story.
