I'm a journalist and author living and working in London. USS Alcatraz is the first of three hard boiled thrillers charting the bloody rise and fall of Carson Baine, the deranged heir of a vast global corporation as he attempts to bury his past and become President of the United States. I really wanted to write the kind of book I wanted to read: modern day pulp fiction. Though the title is 'USS Alcatraz', don't expect a submarine thriller. The story jumps from the US to the Arctic, from Afghanistan to Barbados.
