Phoebe Richards has lived north, south, and east in the U.S. and has traveled most of the country and Europe. Her nomadic background provides rich fodder for the characters, conversations, dialects, events, and idiosyncrasies that inspire her fiction. Quirky material, she has found, is everywhere - like the "World's Second Largest Human Hair-Art Museum" at a B & B she visited, or the neighbor who liked to show off her "amazing, big, ole' horn toe. I don't know why, it just growed out that way." Though Phoebe has worked in many fields, the majority of her career was in public education. Now retired, she divides her time among family and friends and the pursuit of lifelong learning. Besides writing and reading, Phoebe does not busy herself with hobbies, clubs, and activities. Instead, she seeks mastery in the art of doing nothing, a goal she is very close to achieving.
