Phoebe Rose is a passionate advocate for self-sufficiency and the author of Raised-Bed Gardening for Beginners. Her work is dedicated to sharing gardening and self-sufficiency advice and techniques, enabling readers to gain all the skills they need to feed and care for their families from their own land, regardless of the amount of space they have. Phoebe grew up in LA, where she lived well into adulthood, working as an art curator and showcase director. Her worry about global instability had been growing over the years, and she craved green spaces and the peace of nature. When she started her family, she knew a change was necessary and left the city in favor of country life. Phoebe had gardened with her mother as a child and used this as her inspiration to escape the city, determined to build on what she already knew. Over the years, she has mastered her own techniques for raising all types of plants, particularly edible and medicinal ones. She set herself the goal of never needing to rely on grocery stores and learned how to raise livestock and rely solely on her land to feed her family. 11 years later, her plot of land is thriving. Having met her original goal, she’s determined to help others achieve the same dream. Her writing aims to guide readers to this point, regardless of their experience level. Phoebe lives in the countryside with her family, following a self-sufficient lifestyle. She homeschools her children, teaching them about the abundance all around them and showing them the value of a simpler way of life.
