Rachel wrote her first book on her mother's old portable word processor when she was 8 years old. Over the years, she read every book on writing she could find and began attending master classes under story consultants Aaron Sorkin, Christopher Vogler, Michael Hauge, and John Truby. She fell in love with the art of screen writing because it requires the writer to focus on "story" above all else and she applied this knowledge to her first published novel, The Leading Man. Her writing style is romantic, classy, humorous, and fast-moving. Some of her favorite authors include Elizabeth Cadell, Mary Stewart, Anne Stevenson, Sophie Kinsella, Agatha Christie, D.E. Stevenson, and John Grisham. She is a big fan of classic movies with Cary Grant as well as BBC mystery shows like Foyle's War. Follow Rachel Anne Lane on Twitter at: https://twitter.com/RALaneAuthor
