On my 40th birthday, an Ancestry DNA kit sent me down an unexpected rabbit hole. What began as curiosity became years of research, family interviews, and late-night discoveries. As I uncovered the lives of the women who came before me, I realized that the most extraordinary stories are often hidden within ourselves. Those discoveries led me back to writing and inspired my award-winning Winds of Change trilogy. While my novels are works of historical fiction, they explore the themes that fascinate me most: family, identity, resilience, love, forgiveness, and the connections that shape us across generations. Today, I live in California wine country with my British husband, our two teenagers, and Saffy, a sassy six-toed cat who thinks she runs our house. When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me planning my next adventure, chasing the perfect sunset, or searching for a story worth telling.
