I'm a hiker and writer. October 2015 marked the debut of my novel "THE TRAIL." It's a thriller--not just another walk in the woods! I've thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, hiked all of the Pacific Crest Trail, The Long Trail, and parts of the Continental Divide Trail. I live with my wife, Nancy, near Boston. The second hiking thriller, in my Karl "Awol" Bergman hiking series, is titled "SIERRA." It takes place along the Pacific Crest Trail and released in October 2016. My third hiking-thriller, THE DIVIDE, takes place along the Continental Divide Trail, from the Mexican border, over the Rocky Mountains, to Canada. This eco-thriller released on 8/18/2020. In 2024, my first speculative fiction book will be released. LIFT: The Rise Of M-L-M is about Math, Language, and Music as our species struggles to perfect their optimum universal language.
