About the Author: Rebecca Harrison was born and raised in Oregon. Her academic credits include an M.S. in Education from Portland State University. She was a high school teacher for students with disabilities for sixteen years. Rebecca has always been an avid writer, co-authoring her first book, Child Abuse: A Guide for Professionals, with Dr. Jean Edwards in 1983; it is revised and currently available. Her maritime history books, both Deep Dark and Dangerous On the Bottom with the Northwest Salvage Divers, and Aboard the Portland A History of the Northwest Steamers, are written about the divers and boats in Oregon and Washington, USA. Rebecca also has two books out co-authored with Daniel Cowan, Portland's Maritime History, and Canby, both with Arcadia publications. These books are in the Images of America series. Rebecca just recently released a funny travel and history book about South Korea, called Travels with Kimchi.
