Rich Wallace’s first novel, Wrestling Sturbridge, was selected as one of the best YA novels of the 20th century by the American Library Association. He’s since authored many more. His recent nonfiction books--co-authored with his wife, Sandra Neil Wallace—include Bound by Ice and First Generation: 36 Trailblazing Immigrants and Refugees Who Make America Great. Recent honors include the International Literacy Association’s Social Justice Award, the Paterson Prize, the California Reading Association Gold Award, and many others. Rich was a long-time editor at Highlights for Children magazine and continues to write The Timbertoes comic strip for that publication. He and Sandra recently founded the nonprofit DailyGoodNH.org, dedicated to promoting literacy, inclusion, food security, and health and well-being in their city of Keene, NH.
