Riel Nason's debut novel The Town That Drowned won the 2012 Commonwealth Book Prize for Canada and Europe as well as the Margaret and John Savage First Book Award. The book was nominated for several other literary awards including appearing on the longlist for the 2013 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Nason lives in Quispamsis, NB, Canada with her husband and children. She is also a textile artist.
