I am a recognised international speaker and independent strategic advisor on the concept of value in healthcare (Kintsugi-international) and Professor of Value in Health Management at Swansea University.
After holding a number of senior medical leadership roles, I was appointed as National Clinical Director for Value-based Healthcare in Wales and established the Welsh Value in Health Centre.
Setting up Kintsugi-International in 2024, my purpose was to forward the mission of better outcomes and sustainable systems. I draw on my long international experience of value-based healthcare and system transformation to support policymakers, healthcare organisations and industry partners in driving forward VBHC approaches.
I was a GP for 24 years, holding educational supervisor and senior partner roles. My experiences with patients over these years lie behind everything I do.
