SAM CAWTHORN is a former YOUNG AUSTRALIAN OF THE YEAR and has been featured in the New York Times and USA Today and is obsessed with personal and corporate turnarounds. He is the CEO for Empowering Enterprizes, dedicated to add value to humanity around the world. He is a Thought Leader and a humanitarian, traveling around the world and sharing his message, transforming lives and impacting hundreds of thousands of people. Born on a farm in a family of 13, Sam grew up in Tasmania, Australia and at a young age believed that he can make a difference in the world. Yet when he was 26 years old, married with 2 children, while working as a Youth Futurist for the Australian Government, he had a major car accident where he was pronounced dead by the paramedics. Upon resuscitation he was put on life support for a week, was in hospital for 5 months and in a wheelchair for a year. The doctors told him that he would never walk again. Today he lives with an amputated arm, (Yet brags about having the most advanced bionic arm in the world) and a permanent disability to his right leg, but defied the doctors, and now walks. His recovery was miraculous, surpassing his doctors most optimistic predictions. During the last few years he has been obsessed with learning more about resilience, positive psychology and global turnarounds. He developed 'The BOUNCE Theory', which demonstrates the formula of NOT Bouncing Back, but Bouncing Forward. He speaks and writes about his research and findings and travels the world speaking to major fortune 500 companies and young people inspiring them to BOUNCE Forward.
