I am a sucker for anything coming of age. If Pretty in Pink is on TV, there's a good chance I'll stop everything to watch it. I proudly binge watch shows on The CW, and I also write for one (iZombie!) I've written two YA novels about teenagers (Never Ever and the Lost Kids), and a memoir about being an undocumented Iranian teenager growing up in the states (Americanized). Despite all of that, I'm regularly reminded of my age when I meet people who've never heard of Angela Chase and don't remember a time when MTV played music videos. 90s nostalgia is a real thing, people.
