Sarah Dry is an award-winning writer and historian of science. She studied history and literature at Harvard College before completing an MSc at Imperial College and a PhD in history of science at the University of Cambridge. She has written on a wide variety of subjects in the history of science. Her books have been translated into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Great Lives, the nationally syndicated US radio show To the Best of Our Knowledge and on Late Night Live on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She has spoken at numerous literary and science festivals, including the Chalke Valley History Festival, Aye Write (the Glasgow literary festival), Gravity Fields, and the Royal Society. Her research has been supported by the Leverhulme Trust, the US National Endowment for the Humanities, the UK Economic and Social Research Council, and a Gates Cambridge Scholarship.
