Sean Michael Hayes was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada who in his younger years he was a professional skateboarder, which gave him the opportunity to see the world. He has continued writing and skateboarding, and also now coaches professional skateboarders. Many unique life experiences inspire his diverse social and cultural understanding; the foundation for dynamic and thoughtful literature. While his transition to the literary world was welcomed as much as hated by readers worldwide (see book reviews), his first book, Five Weeks in the Amazon, became a #1 bestseller online.
