Sharon shares her heart and a home, in Johannesburg, South Africa, with Dearly Beloved and eight, 50-cent-piece-sized-feline-paws, four belonging to Charlie, and the other four to Amber. As on the Camino, off the Camino, conversation is central to Sharon’s way of being and doing. To fund her walking habit, Sharon supports individuals and groups to have better conversations with themselves and others, through her practice as a mediator, facilitator, trainer, and coach. Deep meaning for Sharon, lies in creating spaces and ways of being together, that enable inclusive discussion, connection, and community-building; ways of being that draw on ancient wisdom, and modern approaches, that not only open broad horizons of learning, but also can support people in living with greater meaning and fulfilment. She values being able to walk alongside others in their journeys to be a touch bolder, a shade braver, and a little different, in how we are in the world.
