I'm Shep. Although i'm not crazy about writing about myself - wait, who am i kidding? That's exactly what I've done in the two autobiographical books I've written, Nothing in Moderation being the one you are hopefully interested in at the moment. But let's see, I consider myself a southerner, but I do not fit into any stereotype easily. In fact, it bothers me when people think that everything and one fits into a nice, neat box with a bow on it. I'd say I'm simple and complex at the same time. That I have opinions and stances that would no doubt surprise people. The facts are as follows: I've been on a reality TV show for 12 years now, set in the charming, historical, and unfortunately bustling city of Charleston. Please don't move here or visit, no room at the Inn. The show is called Southern Charm, and it's something that I'm proud to be a part of. Having my life chronicled for the last 12 years is kind of amazing when you think about it. Maybe one day I'll have the strength to go back and watch it from the beginning. I have always loved literature due to my mom's incessant fervor for books. So I developed a love for writing and expressing myself with the written word. Although I am certainly no introvert, writing allows for a more concise and thoughtful point of view rather than the blabbering I typically do with my pontifications.
