Shicreta Murray is also known to her online audience as Sweet Crete. She was born in Camden, New Jersey, but her time living there was short. Since, her step father worked in the nuclear industry she traveled all over the US as a child with her Step Father, Mom, and two brothers. Growing up she experienced a lot of diversity and learned how to appreciate different cultures and celebrate the diversity that is found in various ethnic backgrounds. At the age of 13 Shicreta moved to Texas with her family. At the age of 22 she had a run in with herself and she saw herself as a sinner who needed a Savior. Then after her Spiritual awakening at the age of 23 she had an encounter with God that changed her life and helped her see Jesus in a way that truly transformed her life. It was after that experience with God that she received her call to write and share God’s loving message through the perception of Jesus Christ. Currently, Shicreta resides in the good ole Lone Star state of Texas where she is self employed and the founder of Empowering Christians to Overcome Abuse.
