Silas Dakar is a fiction writer who explores the margins of human experience. His work examines the spaces where perception fragments and the familiar becomes strange. His books include Everyday Weapons, Under the Skin —a collection of gothic and psychological horror stories— and Vampires: Gothic Tales, an anthology that brings together European vampire classics with original stories, including Carmilla: The Story I Never Told. He has published contemporary adaptations of Russian classics: The Gambler and White Nights by Dostoyevsky, and A Confession by Leo Tolstoy, all featuring editorial apparatus and an approach designed for today’s reader. He is also the author of the children’s series Luna’s Journey and El camino de Luna.
