Simon Packham has written several highly acclaimed books for young people, including Silenced, which was shortlisted for multiple awards, and Firewallers, chosen as one of The Independent's Children's Books of the Year. ​Simon's book Worrybot (UCLan) was acclaimed by The Observer as a 'profound story about friendships, confidence and school refusal with an absolutely audacious plot twist'. Has Anyone Seen Archie Ebbs? (Firefly) was selected for the Empathy Lab's Reading Collection and shortlisted for several awards. ​His latest book Zak Monroe Is (Not) My Friend (UCLan), is a story about boys' friendships and anxieties about the transition from primary to secondary school. Simon lives in Horsham with his wife Deborah and is a lifelong Brighton & Hove Albion and musical theatre fan.
