Spring Warren is a painter, writer, and urban farmer. Her novel Turpentine received Barnes and Noble’s Discover Great New Writers Award, the bronze medal in ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year for Historic Fiction, and was a recommended title for the New York Center for Independent Publishing. She won the Maurice Prize for the novel The Breaks and published a memoir with Seal Press, The Quarter Acre Farm, on living off her suburban yard for a year. In 2022 she co-wrote the screenplay for the documentary, Time Has Many Voices, about the Northern California Ohlone people which airs on PBS.
