Stuart St Paul won Best Director in the USA, a Silver Palm in Mexico, was nominated for a Star & Screen in Mumbai, and his movie Scarlet Tunic was selected in Cannes for official selection at both Cabourg and Verona. As a result of the multitude of story-telling tricks learnt during his time as a director, he delivers a humorous, action-packed, and tension-laden narrative that leaves readers on the edge of their seats, and impossible to second guess and Cruise Ship Heist recently won at the LA Neo Noir awards. Like his romantic Hardy film, the CSCI book series is not without its twisted romantic thread, and even in book seven there are OMG moments as character details unfold. Although these crime dramas are set within the cruise industry, you do not need to have ever cruised or be a fan to get swept away on the wave as can be seen by the many 5 star reviews on the online book club which now champion his books. Stuart appears on many cruise ships throughout the year to lecture and book sign. It is also where he writes. Despite all his achievements in production and direction, he is still known as the Celebrity Stuntman on the after-dinner speakers' circuit (with Champions, The Speakers Agency, etc), even though his last performance in front of camera was back in 1985 as movies most horrific character, playing inside the iconic Queen Alien for James Cameron in Aliens. That role makes him a regular at SciFi and CosPlay events. He started writing novels as therapy when injured and awaiting brain surgery. Following a series of books, and the successful surgery in the specialised brain unit at Kings in Chelsea, he has now written both the screenplay to the start of the CSCI series, and rewritten the prequel, Cruise Ship Heist. Stuart has just been announced as one of the celebrity guests on the Cunard’s new ship, Queen Anne, and will feature in their 'Up Close Insights' programme next year, which includes Kate Adie OBE and Julian Lloyd Webber. In 2024 he will be on many ships including the Cunard flag ships Queen Anne H425 and Queen Mary 2 M428. He has worked for all the majors including HBO, BBC and ITV. His own films have been distributed by Universal, ICON. Stuart's film on sex trafficking, Freight, won awards all over the world. His romantic Hardy story travel the film festivals against the major studio big budget movies of its day and was a finalist against The English Patient and others.
