T.F. (Frank) Muir is the author of the best-selling contemporary crime series set in St. Andrews, Scotland, featuring DCI Andy Gilchrist. The first in the series - EYE FOR AN EYE - won the Scottish Association of Writers' Pitlochry Award in 2004 for the best crime novel by an unpublished writer. Born in Scotland, Frank was plagued from a young age with the urge to see more of the world than the rain sodden slopes of the Campsie Fells. By the time he graduated from University, he'd already had more jobs than the River Clyde has bends - bartender, farmhand, postman, laundry van driver, lumberjack, labourer, surveyor, among many others. Thirty-plus years of living and working overseas helped Frank appreciate the raw beauty of his home country. Now a dual US/UK citizen, Frank has returned to Scotland, where he lives with his wife in the outskirts of Glasgow. Frank can often be seen in St. Andrews, checking out the many local pubs and restaurants for his next gruesome tale.
