Tamara Dean is an author of fiction and nonfiction. Her writing has appeared in The American Scholar, The Georgia Review, the Guardian, One Story, Orion, The Southern Review, STORY Magazine, and other publications. She’s also the author of The Human-Powered Home: Choosing Muscles Over Motors and, after an early career in IT, bestselling textbooks on computer networking.
