Dianne Spurlock Winstead and Stacy Spurlock Robbins( The Sisters Spurlock) have the best of two worlds- teaching children and writing books. They are multi-award-winning educators and authors who live in the Nashville area. Because of their love for children and teaching, they have written four books, Navikate and the Sound of the Sea, I Give You the Olive Tree, the award-winning book, No Mask, No Home, and very recently published their fourth book Save Me a Seat on the Ark. All are written in rhyme for preschool and elementary school children with lesson plans and activities for educators, parents and grandparents in the back of each book. After writing the first three books, they decided to branch out and write their first historical fiction novel, The Ghost Comes Out based in a fictitious town, Grayton, in West Tennessee in the summer of 1964. During their childhood, Dianne and Stacy spent many summers in a town like Grayton, and easily recalled memories that help set the stage for the book. Once again, they incorporate their love for children into this book as they are the main characters who truly teach the adults about all aspects of life. The Ghost Comes Out has just been recognized as a ‘Literary Titan Book Award Winner’. Dianne and Stacy are SO pleased to share with you the sequel is being written now. So stay tuned...
