Being raised by a single mother, Alfie Thomas dreaded becoming a parent himself. He grew up witnessing his mother working two jobs just to make ends meet. This created an intense fear of parenthood in his heart as he believed he too would have to struggle the same way his mother did. Today, Alfie Thomas is a lecturer, a software engineer, and most surprisingly a father of three. Everything changed for Alfie when at the age of twenty-seven, his now wife became pregnant. This created a sense of anxiety in the first-time father, who turned to books to get answers regarding fatherhood. To his despair, pregnancy books were mother-centric, leaving him with limited information. Six years down the lane and three children later, things are looking bright for the family as Alfie has managed to become a good father and be successful at the same time. Recalling his own experience of searching for books for first-time fathers, Alfie took it as a challenge to bring more books on this subject into the market. Sharing his experience, he helps first-time dads understand their responsibilities and makes sure they do not repeat the mistakes he made. With this aim, he has written three books so far, namely, “The First Time Father”, “The Expectant Survival Guide for First Time Dads - Through Pregnancy Journey” , and “The First Time Father - Baby’s First Year. The Ultimate First Time Dads’ Guide from Baby to Toddler”.
