Thomas Forster was born in South East London, England and began his ballet training with June Lowdell. At age eight, he joined The Royal Ballet School Associate Programme. At age 11, he commenced full-time dance training at Elmhurst School of Dance. At 16 he joined The Royal Ballet Upper School and graduated with Honors in 2005. Forster joined American Ballet Theater Studio Company in May 2006, the main Company as an apprentice in January 2007 and the corps de ballet in December 2007.  He was appointed Soloist in September 2015. He was appointed to Principal in 2020. Proud father to Benjamin Forster, whom “My Daddy Can Fly” is dedicated to.
