My name is Tino. The idea for this book arose from my passion for the Aeolian Islands and their diverse characters. At the same time, I wanted to give my nieces and nephews bilingual stories that reflect their home and help them experience both languages in a playful way. I live in Berlin but spend several months a year on the Aeolian Islands to gather new inspirations and continually rediscover the magic of these special places. Perhaps we will cross paths on the islands someday – at the castle in Lipari, at the port of Santa Marina Salina, during sunset in Pollara, or on a hike to the Gran Cratere on Vulcano. I always look forward to exchanging ideas with other island enthusiasts!
