Todd is the co-author of the twisted trilogy "Revolting Tales". These short stories are based on true events taken from his also twisted life experiences. Todd is one of seven siblings from what he describes as: "A pleasantly dysfunctional family." Todd's exuberant youth left him with two clear career choices after graduating high school in 1976. Jail or Service. He decided on the latter and joined the Army. Ironically, Todd became a Military Policeman and subsequently attended the Academy for Specialized Military Police Investigators. He excelled and moved quickly up to the rank of sergeant, awarded an assignment in United States Criminal Investigation's Division, a covert narcotics investigation team. He worked covertly both here and abroad. He left the service in 1983 and worked briefly as a correctional officer. Once again, fearing confinement and believing his position was simply one step above an inmate, he left to become a police officer. He worked as a Patrol Dog handler for 6 years, followed by a 3 year tour with the State Anti-terrorism Task Force (SATTF) as a field investigator and certified criminal analyst. He returned to his Police Department and commanded the Criminal Investigations Division for the remainder of his career. Detective Sergeant Curry is the recipient of two medals of bravery, and many others he won't talk about, from a career that spanned thirty years. "I've seen things I wish I hadn't and I've experienced things that few have. I found it oddly satisfying and more comforting running toward danger and basking in its horrifying aura, rather than the uncomfortable feeling I got sending someone else to do it." "Not surprisingly my first book is a series of short horror stories....go figure." Besides being a published author, Todd is an accomplished song writer and musician. He is the brother of one of the countries great drummers, Mickey Curry. Mickey once said to Todd: "If you sell one of your songs, any song, for any reason, I’ll pay off your mortgage". Todd's response was: "If I sell any one of my songs, I could most likely pay off my own damn mortgage". His Music varies in genre, which is unique in it of it's self. He has often said: "I'm not looking to write a #1 hit. I'm simply documenting my life story though music. You're either gonna like them or not. My only intent is to get one of these songs put in a commercial or movie or sold to a 'true' artist who can take them to another level. It's not about money; it's about being remembered after I’m gone....what better way to be remembered….cause I’m sure not going to be remembered for this book. One of Todd's songs has recently been selected for an independent movie and another for a major remake of an eighties block buster, but he has recently reported, he is still paying a mortgage.
