Travis D. Ramsey may not have been born with a pen in hand, but he’s always had an itch for storytelling—luckily, the U.S. Navy never objected. Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, he spent 26 years serving as a Chief Warrant Officer, navigating a career filled with global travels, unforgettable characters, and enough real-life plot twists to fuel a dozen novels. During his final tour in Sicily—a place that stole his heart and jump-started his imagination—Travis rediscovered the creative spark he’d carried since childhood. After years of writing in crisp, military-approved formats, he set out to unlearn those habits and embrace the freedom of fiction. His debut novel took shape under Sicily’s sun-soaked skies, powered by strong espresso, late-night inspiration, and the occasional cannoli. He hasn’t slowed down since. Now retired and based in San Diego, Travis is hard at work on his next book, weaving together heart, suspense, and the kind of lived experience that can’t be faked. When he’s not writing, he’s sharing life’s adventures with his wife, Chrissy, whose love, humor, and steady encouragement keep their story grounded—and far more entertaining than anything he could make up on the page.
