Ty Keenum was born in Asheville, N.C. during the Truman administration. His family bounced from poor to middle class repeatedly over his formative years. The changes in circumstances gave him the opportunity to live in multiple southern states and to gain an appreciation for people from all walks of life. The changes in station provided insight into the characters in his books, “Momma, Can You Hear Me? “, “The Little Church in the Valley”, and “The Crystal Palace”. Now, with the release of "The Coincidence of Birth", Keenum explores new characters and locations in short story form. Keenum currently lives in Atlanta Ga, with his wife of forty-plus years. When they’re not enjoying their kids and grandkids, they find time for gardening, writing, and of course Georgia football.
