Vatsala Radhakeesoon is a multi-lingual Mauritian author/poet and the representative of Immagine and Poesia group for Mauritius. She started writing poems at the age of 14 and at the age of 41 in 2019, she started to experiment in the world of abstract art as an artist. She is currently the author of 11 poetry books entitled When Solitude Speaks (2013) , Depth of the River(2017), Hope (2018) , L'aurore de la Sagesse (2018) (French book) , Smile Little Butterfly (children poetry) (2018) , Guitar of Love (2018) ,Unconditional Thread (2019),Tropical Temporariness (2019) ,Whirl the Colours (2020) ,Eyes of the Sea (2020) and नीली हंसिनी के गाने - Songs of the Blue Swan (2020) (Billingual Hindi-English poetry) She works as a freelance literary translator, and is an interview editor for the online literary journal Asian Signature. Her spare time is spent by listening to music , connecting to nature and taking care of her lovely cats.
