Thank you for visiting my Amazon Author Page. I lived in Lancashire, for the first six years of my life. Two traumatic events happened to me during that time. My father died when I was three, and when I was six my mother took me to live on the Suffolk coast. As an only child, I lived in my imagination and I was an avid reader. I loved the sea, the pebbled beaches, and the wild life of the shore and marshes. My life-long passions were formed: a love of words, plants and animals, and the Suffolk coast. I'm the author of five books in The Anglian Detective Agency Series, the sixth novel will be published in 2022. Every year I return to the haunting stretch of coast where the novels are set, to research for the next book. The Anglian Detective Agency consists of five disparate people, brought together in the first novel, Some Particular Evil, who, in the second book, The Temptation, take on their first major case. The novels are set in the 1970s; a time of great change and unrest: the cold war, crippling strikes, a weak government, terrorism and the freeing of sexual mores. Not to mention blue eye-shadow flairs and kipper ties! I live in Berkshire, and when I'm not writing , I can usually be found on my knees in my garden, weeding, not praying. I love writing these books – I hope you enjoy reading them.
