Vera Reh began her career as an author right after her studies in environmental and economic sciences at the University of Oldenburg in Germany. Protecting nature does not only play a big role in her stories. She loves animals, and she’s taken a special shine to cats, dogs, ravens and the many forest dwellers. With great attention to detail, she created her first work of fiction, the magical novel series Fire Raven, saying: “To me, magic means giving inexplicable phenomena a new point of view.“ When writing, pots full of tea, hot chocolate and pancakes with cinnamon and applesauce serve as good inspiration.
