Vonna Ivory Joseph was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She made Atlanta, Georgia her home as a teenager, where her stories are chiefly centered. Joseph joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota where she started her family. She has lived and/or worked in 3 countries, six states and seven cities, but for this girl raised in the South, there was no place like home. Her first novel, Good Enough, explores classic barriers to love - barriers such as class, family obligations and skillfully disguised insecurities. Joseph has since published eleven full length novels, covering Black life, love and artistry. From the Southern gothic, Catoire to the light hearted rom-com, 30 Days of Yes, Joseph's keen observation couples with razor sharp to welcome her readers to what she calls, the new South. Joseph currently lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia among pine trees and kudzu, where she is hard at work making life a good!
