William G. Collins was a history major at University and always wanted to take the time to write about the ancient civilizations he learned to love. He has written 24 novels of historical fiction and has published 15. His newest "Murder at Abu Simbel," is third in a trilogy involving Ancient Egyptian cats. He has numbers of novels set in Ancient Egypt: "Behind the Golden Mask," Murder by the Gods," "Prince of the Nile," "In a Land of Dreams," "Death Beneath the Sphinx," and "Murder in Pharaoh's Palace". He and his wife have traveled a great deal, and he has been to the middle east five times. He is a member of the Florida Writers Association and leads two writers group in Port Orange, Florida. He and his wife served as officers in The Salvation Army for 48 years, 14 of those years in Zaire and the Brazzaville Congo, and he has been a principal of two different High Schools in Africa as well as Chief Secretary.
