Born with a D20 in one hand and a six-gun in the other, Yuri Lowenthal is an award-winning author, actor and producer. Best known for his voice acting work, Lowenthal is also an international theatre performer in addition to his work in VO, and he’s no stranger to the on-camera world of TV and film. He also co-authored Voice-Over Voice Actor: What It’s Like Behind the Mic with wife and partner-in-crime Tara Platt which is available through Bug Bot Press; their book has been awarded a 2010 National Indie Excellence Award as well as a Pinnacle Book Award. His second book, noir novella Tough City, co-written with Keith Ikeda Barry will also be available thru Bug Bot Press. Platt and Lowenthal have recently released the second edition of VOVA, Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Extended Edition. Yuri and Tara helm Monkey Kingdom Productions, and have two feature films, including award-winning mockumentary Con Artists, as well as their irreverent award-winning 4-season web comedy Shelf Life. Platt and Lowenthal recently gave a TEDx Talk entitled Your Life Story: Using Story Structure to Navigate Crisis.
