Listen, this story was very unique. I went in blind and didn't even read a review. Sun, sand and surf. Finn just wanted to surf like the pros and finding Riddick on the beach to help mentor him was perfect. Honestly, Riddick was such a mystery.. where he came from and where he went each evening was strange. The plot twist was crazy. Their insta-love was intense. This was a bi- awakening and it was hot. As the story progressed so much comes to light...I can't say more or it will reveal spoilers. The ending...omg.. ugh. The narrator for Riddick was soooooo good!!! (as always), but the narrator for Finn sounded like a cartoon character... I'm sorry...it just didn't match the story AT ALLLLLLLLL. During their sexy times Riddick sounded amazing and Finn just sounded fake and cartoonie... just no. Again, sorry. Overall I really liked this story!!! Happy reading!!!

I was able to ARC read this story when it first came out. It blew my mind and I was so excited to see it get an audiobook. The performance by Luke Atticus and Sean Masters was fantastic! They brought the story to life and made me fall in love again!

I’m sorry but the narrator for Finn absolutely ruined this for me. I love this book and was so excited to get the audio but the second I heard Finn’s voice I knew it would be a struggle. Riddick’s narrator was better but his voice (to me) didn’t suit a surfer type, he sounds like he should be reading fantasy or crime or something. This just comes out as wrong casting, which is so disappointing because this is a top tier story that deserves the same treatment in narration. Gave up at chapter 19.
